The underside of a Four Leafed Clover

Dish washers are fantastic inventions but unfortunately

pots must still be washed by hand and tonight that falls to me

so here I am hand washing dishes soap on okra and tomatoes

sponge and rag rubbing out dried remains of mashed potatoes

you know what? it’s alright its really not unfortunate at all

my illuminated perspective lights an otherwise darkened hall

but I know otherwise I know better yet

what I’ve seen reminds me what I have I can’t forget

most would see and not understand most would skip right over

most would fail to recognize the underside of a four leafed clover
