The Bridge

We all have a here and there’s always a there
but getting across is often a scare
or at least a challenge as the trail isn’t blazed
and none who have made it have crossed unfazed
for there is pain disappointment and despair along the way
and though many will have much to say
it’s just you and Him getting across
so know that even in tragic loss
you are not alone for one minute
believe that and you will always be in it
I can’t say when you’ll get there I don’t know
but let me encourage you as you go
keep putting in work don’t tire of reaping
what you sow will surely be worth keeping
what you sow will be the power to send
the means to build the bridge to get you to your end
