Consecrate this Dance Floor

She didn’t learn to dance from just anyone
I thank God that her moves are more than just for fun
oh don’t get me wrong she has a ball
but long before any boy will ever give a call
she has had a dance partner since she was three
as her father I am pleased to say it is me
and the standard has been set for love honor and respect
we move across the floor and I direct
messages of love value approval and worth
the dance floor is the world and she’s the only girl on earth
I hope she gets it I hope she understands
as we step swing and glide while holding hands
I consecrate this dance floor for the rest of her days
for the rest of her life this is what stays
