Luckier than the Birthday Girl

Everybody’s glad when a pretty girl has a birthday
they bring presents to her party and have lots of sweet things to say
she lights up like a candle in response to being celebrated
her grace matches her beauty so the praise of her friends is justly stated
the world is balanced the good guys are winning
and everyone is laughing smiling and grinning
in fact there is one man who is smiling more than her
it is not vanity that such joy should occur
but reality and a realization of how blessed he has become
he gets it and he knows where he is from
the pretty girl doesn’t leave her birthday party alone
the only one luckier than her is the man that takes her home
