Friend of a Friend

A friend of a friend is still a friend
they may be less known but that’s not how it has to end
I’ve been rewarded by investments made
with returns that didn’t spoil or fade
when one degree of separation was eliminated
and a new friendship was created
by the common fellowship we were already holding
layers of friendship began unfolding
to reveal a richness present but as yet unobserved
it makes sense really once it all gets served
with domestic and spiritual blessings to boot
kindness and character are the fruit
of my friend who is such a blessing to know
this friend of a friend my friend is good to go
