Mountains Speak to Valleys

Mountains speak to valleys what is to what is not
what rises above to what falls below the movement to the trapped in thought
sometimes it hurts when my highs have to speak to my lows
but if that conversation never takes place then you know how it goes
straight down to the bottom with no hope for getting out
flat on my back eyes filled with gray skies forever lost in doubt
I will engineer my victories to tweak my frequent defeats
and level the playing field one day at a time to travel down enlightened streets
