A Year’s Worth

Thank you
it is impossible for me to sum up this year any other way
these last 365 days put me in the place to say
thank you to everyone who you are what you’ve done
family friends associates every single one
the events of this year from failure to celebration
have not been done in any isolation
but you have witnessed them from rise to fall
and I thank you I stand to thank you all
for believing in me when I did not deserve it
and guarding my integrity seeking to preserve it
despite my attempts to ruin it forever
God used you to achieve something better
my strength is rooted in this community’s amazing outpour
thank you for all that you are I’m only looking forward to more
