A Stone’s Throw
by Jason Tomlinson

Whoever told us to check our feelings at God’s door was lying
because once upon a time there was a Savior dying
and He cried out so loudly it could be heard a stone’s throw away
believe our Father can handle whatever we say
He is good He knows He cares and He sees
the desert of loneliness or the horror of disease
the sting of rejection or betrayal’s deceit
the freeze of abandonment or jealousy’s heat
He gets it because He’s seen it all
He speaks human He can hear us call
from a mile away or deep inside
there’s no need to edit no reason to hide
carry it all to Him – remind me to do the same
He is able – trust in His Name
