37.40 Show Up

The road to 10,000 isn’t paved
it’s not even cleared it must be braved
by the fearless few who dare engage
the uncharted land with no guided page
tenacious consistency defying feeling
the load would send the weaker reeling
but the strong remain because of this
this one thing so many others miss
when others flounder when they need to grow up
perseverance propels and they just show up
it’s their practice it’s their habit it’s their nature consistent
it’s their will it’s their pattern it’s course so persistent
no plateaus just inclines and strides to do better
they show up cause they are the definition of go getter
they practice practice practice everywhere they’re at
I remind myself of these role models cause I wanna be like that
