Anniversaries Valentine’s Day
and a few other dates are occasions to display
the affectionate attention I have for you
and you have for me we’re both in view
we try to pick things we both can use
whether it’s Starbucks or even a cruise
whether it’s a movie or working out
or even conversation dealing with doubt
The point is for us to focus on us
and whether we bless or whether we fuss
I couldn’t be more glad let it be told
that dates out with you can never get old
they just don’t they’re sweet as can be
just you and I out peacefully
