Seize the Goal

There is a tendency on the quest to be our best

for readiness to be a liability too often second guessed
cause readiness can be sufficient for the one who survives
long before completeness fully arrives
but recognizing that moment is not easily done
when to stay and when to run
it is wisdom then that must decide
whether to stay home or whether to go outside
in some ways one is really never ready to go
in those times it is comfort one cannot know
cause if sufficient preparation is made and there is wisdom in your soul
keep your eyes on the prize and reach out to seize the goal
