A Smile and a Chuckle

How many times in moments boring or sad
tense or upsetting unpleasant or mad
have I said to those who were near
“can you imagine if Joel woulda been here?”
and the response is always the same
a smile and a chuckle imagining he came
because Joel has the gift of erasing frustration
by being able to bring humor to any situation
I know of no one who does it better than he can
count me a supporter indeed a big fan
because he’s made me laugh countless times it’s true
his timing couldn’t be better he’s right on cue
so I don’t hesitate in this time to stand and proudly say
I thank God for you Joel! Have a happy happy birthday!
