Plugging and Pouring

This is how we look and where we are today
it is only for a moment and then it will go away
to be replaced by how we look and feel in the next chapter
but going back is not an option there is only ever after
so for now I am soaking it up indefinitely
these four I’m with – my precious family
are the most important people to me in all creation
my wife and children fill my heart with elation
to such a degree that every fiber of my being
wants to bless every day that we’re seeing
seeing together and letting that state be a gift
with the features that inspire and uplift
above the stress and despair in this world all around
pouring myself I am joyfully bound
to these folks who make every day a joy to start
I plug in I pour in because they are my heart
