Chain of Encouragement

Don’t underestimate your ability to make someone’s day
false humility may ensnare and you may wanna downplay
the significance of your words and actions spoken to a friend
or a co-worker or an employer but let me tell you once you send
those positive words out there into space
you never know just how long your encouragement will grace
the listener who needed to hear just what you said
your words lift their spirits now they walk with upturned head
now they’ll pass it on to someone who needed it too
and so on and so on and to think it all started with you
