Whispers of Beauty

Hatred fear intolerance and pride
the consumption of the ages on every side
these cannot be outgunned – against them none can win
healing change must come and take place from within
fighting fire with fire is a futile exercise
it is not in shouting that one is counted among the wise
but in the whispers of beauty so rarely used
in the notes of grace to those short fused
the words of life that reverse death
these go within create and sustain love’s breath
