Differences pushed aside for the sake of what we’re pursuing
peace and human dignity ever practicing ever doing
we remember what it was like when we were not united
and the levels of fear and panic rose when we were all divided
and not to say that these seventy years have been anything close to perfection
but it can be said that our union is a step in the right direction
people groups looking after one another
acknowledging that despite our differences you’re my sister and my brother
and if you’re in trouble I’m gonna do everything I can
to get you out of your crisis – we’ll make a plan
and come together without hesitations
demonstrating our own name showing the world United Nations
