Peace Deep Inside

The noise seems the loudest when there’s no noise at all
just leftovers in my head echoes of every call
from everyone and everything clamoring for my attention
some large some small but they all lead to the suspension
of peace that wants to flow through every inch of my being
but there are so many roadblocks and dams it is just obstacles that I’m seeing
I honestly don’t know how to change this or make it alright
I suspect silence cannot be won in a moment’s pursuit
she is only captured by hearts at the root
casual chasers are always denied
peace is granted to those willing to seek her deep inside
