Infinite Flame

A flame to represent the infinite soul
the incorruptible part the integral whole
that is never extinguished despite the absence of breath
the part of all of us that endures beyond death
the young are drawn to the warmth represented by the flame
memories flood in quiet tears by all those who came
to remember to observe to honor and revere
the dearly departed but honestly still here
