Always More

There’s always more there’s always more

no one has seen all that’s in store
for any subject and any category
no one can close the book on the story
not all has been spoken or heard
more remains hidden more remains unstirred
every time I arrive at any concrete conclusion
I realize later the depth of my delusion
and how shortsighted my perceptions had become
and my so-called discoveries just make me sound dumb
my hasty wrap ups leave too much out
so now I endeavor to proceed with more doubt
in what I’ve heard thought or seen
in what people do versus what they actually mean
cause there’s always more there’s always more
no one has seen all that’s in store
