Not Alone

Intelligence is the enemy of self-reliance

going solo snubbing teamwork compliance

doesn’t work for me as I’ve come to learn

that going alone when it’s my turn

to do anything that I want to amount

I’m gonna need help if it’s gonna count

reaching out is humbling in terms of delegating

but messing up solo is downright humiliating

so I’ll take the former time and again

getting help from my bros so I can win

sounds much better than thinking I can do it on my own

I know what happens when I go it alone

and it’s not good I can tell you that

so in order to be successful wherever I’m at

I send a little message to my bros on the phone

in prayer they hold me up and I’m not alone
