Choose My Family

You can choose your friends but you can’t chose your family right?
perhaps that’s a worn out phrase that lacks clarity of sight
perhaps you can choose your family and perhaps we should
perhaps that would lead us all to a place of great good
the thing is today I did
I chose the members of my family I grew up with as a kid
my brothers – I choose them as often as I can
and right now we’re on vacation so being together is the plan
I’m so glad together we’ve chosen each other
these great men – much love for my brothers
