The Protagonist
by Jason Tomlinson

It’s so easy to lose the plot before the story’s end
I’m not sure who the enemy is not sure about the friend
not sure what needs to happen in order to make resolution
not sure who actually knows the correct solution
until the true protagonist shows himself so
and every other character knows which way to go
and their significance from that moment to the last
is based on their adherence to the protagonist’s vision cast
heroes are declared and villains are recognized
plans are made and allies are harmonized
I sure do love it when the lines are so clear
I sure do love the protagonist right here
