Leaving in the dark returning the same
what a long day! but so glad we came
even if I’m worn out from head to toe
exhaustion is the proof that lets me know
today’s value can’t be summed up in hours
but something more like candy or flowers
that is to say it was a treat or a gift
with specific properties that served to lift
the spirits of those participating
very common among folks celebrating
